Dedicated Clinical Operations Centers
Dedicated Clinical Operations Centers are strategic in nature and involve
the management by PRA of clinical research departments or specialized
workforces that are dedicated to a specific customer. Dedicated Clinical
Operations Centers enable sponsors to significantly reduce costs by
consolidating some portion of their outsourced clinical work into a single,
centralized clinical research center managed by PRA.
Because the employees are dedicated to the sponsor, they become
thoroughly familiar with the sponsor's processes and procedures and retain
knowledge from early-study phases as products move through development. And
because they are full-time PRA employees, they benefit from access to PRA's
global clinical development infrastructure including training and career
development programs, business support services, information technology,
integrated information systems, standardized processes and Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality
assurance programs.
PRA provides Dedicated Clinical Operations Centers for the following
